Baždarić was without the club since the beginning of the season 2009/10 due to unresolved situation with his previous club Menorca. He officially split with teh Spanish club few weeks ago and was practicing with Union Olimpija ever since. He was the regional league MVP in 2001/02 and at the same time also the league's leading scorer.
