Nobody really expected the scenario, which happened in the Croatian League for the champion. Zagreb CO, which was playing in Euroleague this season, is so much in crisis that it didn't even guarantee a spot in 2012/13 ABA League on Tuesday. Instead, Zadar is returning to ABA League.
Zagreb CO played the decisive game against Zadar and lost by a single but decisive point 89:90. This is a huge blow for the Croatian team, which started the season with high ambitions but was later shaked with financial problems and lack of authority in the team.
Meanwhile Zadar, ex ABA League champion, celebrates its comeback after one year. Croatia has four clubs in ABA League for the next season, the fourth one (Zadar) should receive a wild-card. The other thee are Split, Cibona and Cedevita.
