The Croatian capital hosted the General Assembly of all clubs gathered in 2012/13 ABA League on Tuesday, which finished with the draw for the upcoming season. The opening game will be played in Belgrade between Partizan m:ts and Zadar.

Here is the schedule for the 2012/13 season.

13 of 14 clubs, which will play in 2012/13 ABA League, gathered at the meeting in Zagreb while the representative of Union Olimpija was absent. Among other things there was a discussion of the new qualifying system for Euroleague according to each ABA League got 2 direct places in the strongest European competition. Radovan Lorbek gave the report from the previous ECA Meeting (Euroleague Commercial Assets board) and it was stressed that all clubs, even those with the wild-card, will participate in ABA League under the same conditions and obligations and will therefore have a chance to qualify for Euroleague.

ABA League will have two places in Euroleague from 2013/14 season, which means that already the upcoming season will open a fierce battle for the top positions: the Euroleague ticket will be awarded to the champion and to the best club from the regular season if this will not be the champion. The third team from ABA League will play in Euroleague qualifications while the system for Eurocup has not been accepted yet.

Before new propositions will be accepted in September all clubs got a chance to discuss possible changes, which must be sent to ABA League until August 20th. All agreed that the system of choosing the organizer of the Final Four Tournament must be changed either by giving the organization to a neutral city or to the city from which the first positioned club from the regular season will come.
