





The Slovenian National Team U-20 coached by Ivan Sunara, who will seat at the head of the bench of Široki Hercegtisak in the 2004/05 season, became the European Champ at the EC U-20 in Brno defeating Israel in the big final 66:61.
That is the second time the Slovenian Team climbed at the top of Europe repeating the success of the generation that celebrated at the EC 2000 in Ohrid. Erazem Lorbek, who is under the contract with Skipper, has been named the MVP of the tournament. He was also named to the All Star Team together with Yotam Halperin (Isarel), Kostas Vasileiadis (Greece), Linas Kleiza (Lithuania) and Ivan Koljević (S&MN;). Besides him other members of the victorios team from Slovenia are: Jure Močnik, Žan Vrečko, Hasan Rizvić (all three will play in 2004/05 Goodyear League - the first one for Helios, the other two for Pivovarna Laško), Domen Lorbek, Matej Venta, Miha Fon, Dane Dmitrovič, Goran Dragič, Sašo Zagorac, Mensud Julevič and Stanko Sebič.
The National Team of Serbia and Montenegro took the 5th place running over Russia 101:86 while Croatia ended the Championship as the last one. Final standing: 1. Slovenia, 2. Israel, 3. Lithuania, 4. Greece, 5. Serbia and Montenegro, 6. Russia, 7. Latvia, 8. Czech Republic, 9. Belarus, 10. Ukraine, 11. Spain, 12. Croatia.
