Once again Maccabi Tel Aviv is the Israeli champion. Actually, for the 43rd time in its history and 10th in a row. Nikola Vujcic played at his best having a season high of 33 points in only 22 minutes to crush Ironi Naharia in the last game of the season 113-60 and to sweep the series with a 3-0 over Naharia. David Bluthenthal added 12 points, Beno Udrih 11, Derrick Sharp and Tal Burstein contributed 10 each. 7,000 fans saw Derrick Sharp going up on fans shoulders first, to cut the nets in Yad Eliyahu arena, then Marcus Goree and then all the others followed. Maccabi had no rival on the court while running to a 34-16 lead after ten minutes and 82-44 after 30 minutes. It was the first championship with Maccabi for Quincy Lewis, Beno Udrih, David Bluthenthal, Nikola Vujcic, Marcus Goree and Lior Lubin. Chairman Shimon Mizrahi said after the game there will not be any decisions for next season's roster during the next two weeks but it is already known that Lewis and Huseyin Besok will not continue with Maccabi.
