Partizan had a lot of problems through the game and was often behind for a few points. A tied game was expected since both coaches Vlade Jovanović (Partizan) and Dejan Radonjić (Budućnost) shared the same coaching school under Duško Vujošević in the past. Budućnost had a chance to tie few second before the buzzer but then James Gist stole the ball and made the winning points for Partizan.
