Just a few days after having confirmed that backup center Ratko Varda (214, 24) will continue until the end of the season, Union Olimpija saw starting center Josko Poljak suffer an injury. During an Adriatic League game over the weekend against Siroki Brijeg, Poljak broke his left hand and will have to be sidelined for at least a month. Poljak underwent hand surgery on Tuesday and has to wear a cast. Curiously enough, Union Olimpija has had bad luck with the same bone earlier this season, since both Stipe Modric and Zeljko Zagorac already suffered that injury and stayed out of the team also for 30 days.
