When we signed the general sponsorship contract with NLB d.d. last year we began to consider the idea of making the league even more interesting and bring it closer to basketball fans. The result was the idea of streetball tournaments, which will be held for the first time this year on the territory of the whole ex-Yugoslavia. The big final will be played in Ljubljana, Slovenia, while before that tournaments will be held in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and FYROM.
The whole series will start on August 24th and 25th, when Izola (Slovenia), Zagreb (Croatia), Banjaluka (BiH), Beograd (Serbia), Skopje (FYROM) in Podgorica (Montenegro) will host the qualification tournaments. The best teams will qualify for the big final in Ljubljana, which is scheduled for September 1st and will be held in the very center of the city, in the historic center, named Tromostovje. The system of the streetball will be slightly adjusted to the one that is known for years. Every team will play with four players with two baskets on the play-ground.
