The first round of ULEB Cup is coming to its final phase with many teams searching for their place among those which will promote to the next round. Budućnost is definitely one among them. The team from Podgorica will play on the road on Thusday, facing the French team Le Mans, the opponent that should be defeated if Budućnost still wants to stay in the race for the 2nd round. But it will be a difficult job, especially after the latest defeat with Cibona in Goodyear League which probably already cost them the place at the April's Final Four, according to the club's management. Making things worse, three very important players will not play in France. The new reinforcement Veselin Petrović did not get a visa on time, Ninoslav Marjanović has problems with a back injury while Miloš Minić injured his knee.
'We are not in a very good psychological condition after the defeat with Cibona. It is difficult when we repeat always the same mistakes. We had the win on the reach of our hands but lost everything in the final minutes. We just have to do everything to win at least in France,' said Gavrilo Pajović while his teammate Dejan Milojević, the best player of the Goodyear League at the moment, thinks not everything is lost yet. 'There are still nine rounds in Goodyear League until the end and everything may happen. I am an optimist. We improved quite a lot after the arrival of Petrović who is, according to my opinion, the one who will help us to better results.'
