





After a great first half with a 50-34 lead, Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv had to make a special effort to record its sixth win of the season, 82-75 over Hapoel in the Tel Aviv Derby, played in the Usishkin Hall.
Maccabi, without the injured Udrih, opened with 14-0 and 24-5 and ended the first quarter 31-17 up. The second quarter was even (19-17) and in the third, David Blatt's players scored only 12 points and Hapoel came back to 62-56. The lead was cut to 62-60 and three minutes from time 74-71. But five consecutive pts from Tal Burstein, made sure of Maccabi's win.
