In the latest game of the fifth round of the NLB League, scheduled for Sunday, Union Olimpija was only a step from defeating Zadar on the road but then the hosting team turned the result and celebrated an important victory. After Cibona and FMP suffered a defeat on Saturday there are no more undefeated teams in the regional league. Namely the team from the Croatian capital collided with the strong Hemofarm, which is in a better form from week to week. Cibona had many problems but nonetheless stayed in a game until the half-time to totally fall behind in the second one. Playing on the road was also fatal for FMP which met Geoplin Slovan, the team which hasn't been successful so far. But on Saturday, Slovan had a very good evening making eleven three-pointers compared to two realized from FMP and finally celebrated the first victory of the season. The eternal local derby was held in Belgrade, where Crvena zvezda and Partizan met in sport's hall Pionir. Those who expected a pretty tied game, were a little disappointed since Partizan reached for the victory without many problems. Another team which joined the trend of winning at home in the fifth round was Široki ERONET which ran over Helios while Budućnost took advantage of the new member Goran Jeretin and defeated Split. Zagreb achieved another success and continued the ups and downs from round to round with a pretty convincing victory against the struggling Bosna, which split with the center Lloreda a day before the game.
