It's already six days since Budućnost has been in Slovenia, where it played and also won all three friendly games. The club from Podgorica was twice better than Krka, the official game ended 77:72 as the second one was closed to the public. So was also yesterday's game against Union Olimpija in Tivoli although the result is known – 68:66. By usual practice individual statistics were not available for the two closed games. Anyway, Tony Stanley who came to Budućnost from Cholet made the biggest impression and also Ninoslav Marjanović (FMP Železnik) and experienced Gavrilo Pajović had solid effect on the court.
Because of injury Mladen Šekularac didn't travel to Slovenia although he practiced with the team while being in Berane from 3. to 23. of August. Šekularac was under contract with Virtus Bologna last season. During the summer break he played at the Summer League in Dallas and team administration from Budućnost is looking forward to his arrival. As it looks now the only obstacle might be his injury. There is as a different situation with Miloš Minić who played for Lovćen last season and who is very close to sign for the team. But contrary to the prognosis Dejan Milojević will join Budućnost much sooner than it was planned after an injury (tendinitis) cost him a place in the roster of the national team of Serbia and Montenegro at the EC in Sweden.
Budućnost stays in Slovenia until September 4th when a return to Podgorica is scheduled.
